Samantha and Michael's wedding at The Opus Westchester brought together modern architecture, abundant white florals, and an atmosphere that transformed beautifully from ceremony to reception.

For this celebration, Monica worked with a predominantly white floral palette, allowing height, texture, and placement to create the visual interest. From the elevated ceremony installation to the candlelit reception tables, each design carried the same romantic aesthetic through a different part of the wedding experience.

An Elevated Ceremony

Rather than relying on a traditional floral arch, the ceremony featured an overhead installation of abundant white blooms supported by clear structures.

The transparent framework allowed the flowers to appear suspended above the couple while maintaining an open view of the space. White floral petals lined the aisle, drawing the eye toward the ceremony without introducing additional colors or competing details.

The combination of clean architectural lines and lush florals created a striking focal point, giving the ceremony a sense of intimacy within the larger room.

A Different Kind of White Wedding

A predominantly white floral palette gives a designer the opportunity to work with something beyond color.

For Samantha and Michael, the contrast came through the shapes of the arrangements themselves. Fuller blooms created softness and volume, while taller stems and delicate branches introduced height and movement.

It was this balance that allowed the floral design to feel abundant without overwhelming the clean, modern setting of The Opus.

Candlelight & the Reception

As the celebration moved into the reception, the floral design took on a warmer, more intimate character.

White arrangements were paired with tall glass candleholders, creating layers of height across the guest tables. Lower floral groupings brought softness to the tablescapes, while taller arrangements added dimension throughout the room.

Against the warm wood-paneled interiors, the white flowers and candlelight created a beautiful contrast, connecting the reception to the ceremony while giving it an atmosphere of its own.

A Celebration of Modern Romance

From the ceremony's architectural floral installation to the layered candlelight of the reception, Samantha and Michael's wedding was a beautiful example of how a restrained color palette can still make a memorable statement.

By working with the proportions of the venue and introducing different floral heights and textures, Monica created two distinct environments connected through one cohesive design.
